After graduating, Sara began her editorial career in the busy fiction department of HarperCollins UK, liaising with authors such as Fay Weldon, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Tony Parsons and Paullina Simons. Since going freelance in 2002 she has worked on a variety of genres for a number of publishers, from sports books to biography to general and literary fiction, and assignments completed range from structural editing to manuscript assessment to rewriting. In 2002/3 she co-managed the top-ten children's book Kids' Night In from conception to production, which was published in both the UK (HarperCollins) and Australia (Penguin). Since moving to WA in early 2005 she has continued her associations with UK publishers and, in addition, now works for international publishing houses in Sydney, as well as the local WA presses. She has also written for You and Your Wedding magazine.
