Jill Ruse Graphic Designer/Illustrator Jill is a designer and illustrator with over 30 years experience with a wide range of clients including Curtin University, ANU Research School of Biological Sciences, ANU Media Services, the Western Australian Museum, the Smithsonian Institute, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, WMC, Newman Biomarine (Singapore) and many private contracts. She specialises in natural history illustration. Jill works part-time in a library where she is involved in coordinating Children's Book Week. Her passion is illustrating children's books and field guides. In 2003 she won the Local Government Banners in the Terrace Best Creative Artist/Professional Award, and in 2005 won the Honour Book Award (Eve Pownall category) for the CBCA Children's Book of the Year for the Western Australian Museum publication, Gogo Fish!.
