Dr Jo McFarlane Tel: 08 9285 0780 Jo has extensive experience proofreading and editing books/articles about agriculture. She started this part of her career while studying for a PhD in plant nutrition ad plant pathology at UWA. During the last 20 years her work has involved material for books, articles for refereed journals, proceedings from conferences, manuals, technical reports, notes for farmers, information for a website, posters and newsletters. The material has covered a variety of fields - agronomy, botany, geology, hydrogeology, landcare, plant nutrition, soil microbiology, soil physics, veterinary science and mental health. Jo has enjoyed working with staff from the University of WA, Agriculture WA and the Health Department of WA. She is also interested in adult education and helped to write a series of landcare curricula for TAFE, tutored at university level for seven years and was instrumental in organising the laboratories for first year biology students at the UWA campus in Albany.
