About Women in Publishing WA

Women in Publishing is an international organisation that aims to promote the status of women in all areas of publishing by encouraging communication among women working in the industry and supporting their professional development.

Women in Publishing (WA) was formed in May 1993 and has a current membership of around 70 women in diverse areas. We meet regularly for work-related seminars with informed speakers and for networking events.

The eclectic mix of our membership, which includes publishers, booksellers, graphic designers, printers, illustrators, editors, desktop publishers, journalists and public relations practitioners, always ensures a lively exchange of news and ideas at our functions.

The Women in Publishing (WA) Directory of Members has proven to be a valuable resource for both our members and the Western Australian publishing and communication industries. It is regularly updated to reflect the growing membership of this organisation.

Women in Publishing (WA) welcomes applications for membership from women working in the publishing field in Western Australia, or who have an interest in publishing as a career.
